Abilene Police Arrest "The King and God Resurrected" After Foot Pursuit

 

ABILENE, TX— A short chase led to the arrest of “The King and God Resurrected.”

Angel Ortiz, also known as The King and God Resurrected, has been arrested in Abilene after he led APD on a short foot pursuit. Ortiz also allegedly threatened to kill a man and produced a firearm before ditching the gun in the trash.

When police caught Ortiz, he allegedly assaulted an officer.

Ortiz has been arrested for Aggravated Robbery, Assault of a Peace Officer, Evading Arrest, Parole Violation, Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest, Tamper or Fabricate Physical Evidence and Theft of a Firearm.

He is currently an inmate in the Taylor County Jail, and he is being held on a $136,000 bond.

Probably a "church per so many feet" thing. San Angelo must of been a few short compared to Abilene.

Never knew his legal name, but I've been hearing about this "Resurrected King" guy for years. People have weekly support groups they go to just to talk about him. From what I hear, this isn't his first run in with the law. Great job APD!
