AirMed 1 Responds to 2-Car Crash Near Twin Buttes

SAN ANGELO, TX — AirMed 1 airlifted an individual involved in a crash, and two more were taken to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance in the late afternoon on Friday, May 24.

At around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dove Creek Volunteer Fire Department, the San Angelo Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, and the Tom Green County Sherriff’s Office responded to a call of a 2-vehicle crash one mile north of Twin Buttes on Highway 67 south headed towards Mertzon.

When emergency personnel arrived, several people needed medical attention. Two people were taken to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance, and one person had to be airlifted by AirMed 1 and rushed to the hospital.

Details are still sparse as law enforcement informed our reporter on the scene that the investigation is still ongoing. However, it was confirmed that while there were injuries, no fatalities were reported at the time medical personnel arrived to take those involved to Shannon Medical Center.

We reached out to the Texas Department of Public Safety for more information.

I have a short video clip of the red SUV. It's amazing that no one was killed riding in that vehicle. Seatbelt and airbags

Conchoman.

I am freinds with the lady that was driving the red suv.

Have you contacted the police about the video you have?

You can contact Officer Thorhill with the highway patrol who worked the wreck site or you Can you call me at 325-669-8785?

We would appreciate your help

Thank you

Most people literally don't know how to drive, no turn signals, speed up cut you off just to slam on the brakes and turn with no signal, swing into the next lane to turn left or right, drive slow in fast lane, don't use turning lanes, just pathetic, that's why I got a grill guard, dash cam, and common sense, my insurance company doesn't pay out, other people's insurance has though 🤷🤷🤡🤡🤷
