Disturbing Footage: Fight in Central High School Restroom Raises Concern

SAN ANGELO, TX — A disturbing incident, captured on video, occurred in a boys’ restroom at Central High School on Dec. 15, leading to serious concerns among parents. The footage, which was anonymously provided to us, shows a violent altercation between two students.

The video reveals a confrontation between two individuals, identified by sources as students of San Angelo Central High School. One of the students, reportedly a JV football player for the Central High Bobcats, is seen engaging in a physical fight with another student, described as taller and leaner. The football player, who had removed his shirt, is seen with a group of peers nearby.

According to accounts from parents, the altercation was preceded by verbal taunting in the hallway, involving racial slurs directed at the leaner student, who is of mixed race. It is alleged that this provocation led to the restroom confrontation.

The incident reportedly escalated quickly, with the football player overpowering his opponent, resulting in the latter being knocked unconscious after being thrown to the floor. The video shows the unconscious student receiving several blows to the head and being pushed against the restroom wall. He was later taken to Shannon ER, suffering from a seizure and vomiting, but fortunately did not sustain a concussion. He did, however, suffer from swollen lymph nodes.

Sources indicate that the dispute stemmed from a romantic interest in the same girl. This was not the first altercation between these two students, with a similar incident occurring a month prior. We were told the Dec. 15 fight shown in the video led to both students spending time in an alternative school.

The incident has raised questions about discipline and safety at Central High School. Parents have expressed concerns about broader issues within the school, including drug use and other violent incidents, though these claims remain unverified.

The identity of the student involved in the fight has not been disclosed. However, it is reported that he is a member of the Central Bobcats Football team, weighing over 200 pounds and capable of benching 205.
