Mandalorian Star Pascal Might Not Return for 4th Season

HOLLYWOOD— The hit Star Wars Spinoff series the Mandalorian might lose one of its biggest stars.

Reports going around online are saying that The Mandalorian star, Pedro Pascal, who played the titular character in the live-action Star Wars show, might not return for the next season. Pascal has an incredibly busy schedule as he’ll be filming Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 and The Last of Us Part Two over the next few years.

Some are already reporting that Pascal will not be back due to his schedule, but other outlets are reporting this as false. Due to the character, Din Djarin, rarely taking on his Mandalorian helmet, Pascal is not really needed on set. The character has only removed his helmet three times in the show, all three times have been in the first and second season and did not show his face in season three. It was reported that Pascal was not on the sound stage that much during season three and only voiced the character.

Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder are Pascal’s body double who dawn the beskar armor on the show. Pascal could voice the character in post-production if needed.

Of course, The Mandalorian was a huge hit with Baby Yoda, or Grogu, showed up in the first episode. The first two season dealt with Djarin searching for the Jedi as Grogu used the Force in the show. Season two ended with Grogu going off with Luke Skywalker only to return to the Mandalorian in the spin-off show “The Book of Boba Fett”.

In season three, Djarin went to Mandalore, the planet Mandalorians called home, with other Star Wars characters like Bo-Katan, to reclaim the planet after the Empire destroyed it.

Also, season three ended with Djarin and Grogu trying to take part in adventures with the New Republic.

Reports say that season four was supposed to begin filming in October, but the SAG-AFTRA strike effected the shows schedule. In an Instagram post, Wayne said season four is getting “ramped up”. No official release date has been given for season four.
