Water Line Break Closes Oxford Avenue in College Hills Sunday Night

A water line break on the 2700 block of Oxford Avenue in College Hills has forced law enforcement to block off the entire block to trough traffic. The water started as a trickle at around 6 p.m. this evening. Now there is a significant amount of water pushing up through the street and flowing down the street.  Water flow is forming small rapids on Oxford, and rising over the curb, or about six inches

A resident at the scene said this area's water lines were patched by city water crews about a year ago.

City officials are at the scene accessing the situation.

Update 11:29 p.m.

A city water crew has arrived and vows to fix this leak before daybreak. A woman dressed in a super hero outfit was also spotted guarding the water hydrant nearby.

Poor cops in the video. The both of them couldn't figure out a way to detain the leak. I'm surprised they didn't shoot it.
That's a pretty idiotic statement to make about the police. The First Amendment says that you can say it, but it also gives me the right to call you a moron. Lack of respect for police adds to the problem and you're doing a bang-up job of that.

I'm still laughing. David, lighten up. Ol' Joe here was cracking a joke.
if he was cracking a joke, I take back the moron comment...a good joke is always appreciated...the problem with reading a comment is that you can't hear the tone or the intent...apologies to Joseph if he was kidding...if not, the moron statement applies !!! :)
