SAN ANGELO, TX – Angelo State University has added a new perk for students on campus: food delivery robots.
The company, Starship, has launched multiple robotic food delivery machines across campus. The machines are able to deliver food from restaurants on campus to customers on campus.
Starship will charge a small fee but will deliver from restaurants in the UC, such as Subway and the BBQ restaurant, to the Einstein Bagel located on the mall of the campus.
"These are the droids you're looking for," stated a post on a Facebook Swap and Sell Page. "Say hello to Angelo State's latest food delivery service. For a small nominal fee, these little robots will deliver your meal anywhere on campus. Goodbye San Angelo to Go. Hello Future. I was so excited to see them scooting about on campus, even if a few kinks need to be worked out like having a beep and basic manners like observing the right-of-way. Still, that didn't stop me from pointing them out to another rare sighting on campus: a young family with little kids on bikes touring the grounds. Call me CP3O, human cyborg relations. How might I serve you?"
To order food, download the Starship app.

Until they start disappearing. Get a free meal and a robot you can't use. We'll see if that becomes a problem.
