ARLINGTON— Dallas Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones is getting a 10-episode docuseries based on his life on Netflix.
While it’s not official, Netflix has outbid Amazon and ESPN to tell Jones’s story after he took over as the owner of the Dallas Cowboys. Jones bought the team 1989 and turned the team into the most expensive sports franchise in America at $8 billion dollars.
Within seven years, Jones won three Super Bowls with the Cowboys in 1993, 1994, and 1996. The 90’s is what the series will feature. In that time along with winning three Super Bowls, Jones also fired Cowboy legendary coach Tom Landry and brought in Jimmy Johnson.
Of course, Jones fired Johnson after the 1994 season. That is sure to feature big time in Netflix’s series as well.
NFL Films is to produce the series that Netflix spent $50 million on to make.

A truly despicable man, and I base that on the way he fired Tom Landry. New owner, new coach is to be expected, but at least call the man into your office and give him the news personally. Instead, JJ leaked it to the media and let Landry find out through them, without so much as a thank you. I will never support the Cowgirls as long as he owns them and I wouldn't urinate in his mouth if his teeth were on fire.

PermalinkWhile many felt that was time for Landry to go, he deserved a great deal more respect than he received from that odious slime who, while gifted at making money, exhibits none of the positive qualities of humanity. I cannot help but think that Jones matriculated from the Hugh Hefner Academy For The Morally Bereft, and with High Honors.
Instead of watching the Cowpies I'd rather watch "Cheaters", which is populated by mental misfits, creatures heavily burdened by moral decrepitude, and other examples of just how far mankind has fallen. The show makes me think that it is time for God to hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE and start over. Jones only confirms that thought.
