Fire Department Battles Bee Swarm Near Alta Loma School

A swarm of bees has manifested on a vehicle in the 2800 block of Junius St., causing alarm for Alta Loma schoolchildren attending class nearby.

The San Angelo Fire Department has responded to the scene, spraying the cluster of winged nuisances with a soap and water mixture in an attempt to get them to leave the area. So far, no one has been reported to have been stung, but the FD remains on scene to make sure the bees are kept at bay.

This is the third report of a bee swarm this month.
