Martha Stewart to Grace Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition

NEW YORK— Sports Illustrated has announced its next cover model and she’s the oldest one yet.

The cooking show star Martha Stewart will be the next cover model on the front of Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Stewart is 81-year-old and has already posed for the photo shoot.

“To be on the cover at my age was a challenge,” Stewart said, “I think I met the challenge.”

Stewart has seen a resurgent in her career since her time as a cooking show host on her show “The Martha Stewart Show”. In March 2004, Stewart was found guilty of conspiracy to obstruct and making false statements to federal investigator. She was sentenced to five months in a federal correctional facility and has two years of supervised release.

Since, Stewart has made friends with Snoop Dogg and has appeared on the television programs Chopped, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Martha Knows Best among others.

The Martha Stewart cover is one of four with actress Megan Fox, singer Kim Petras, and model Brooks Nader gracing the other covers.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party is set to take place on May 19 through May 21 at the Hard Rock Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Other models include actress Megan Fox, Melissa Wodd-Tepperberg, Angel Reese, and LSU gymnastic star Olivia Dunne.
