BREAKING VIDEO: San Angelo Man Shot – Gunman Caught After Chase

 

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo Police were dispatched to the Nueva Vista Apartments on N. Lillie St. Friday afternoon for a fight that turned into a shooting leaving one man injured and a gunman who fled the scene in custody after a short chase. 

SAPD communications indicate officers were dispatched to a fight outside the apartment complex between two individuals  who were described by authorities as hispanic males. 

While officers were on the way, dispatch received a 9-1-1 call about a shooting victim at the same address.  

When officers arrived, they reported a gunshot victim and called for an ambulance.

Communications indicate the victim suffered gunshots to his stomach and hand.

SAPD squad cars escorted the ambulance with the shooting victim to Shannon Medical Center downtown.  His condition is unknown at this time.  

At the same time, officers reported following a vehicle with the gunman suspect up 19th St.  They were able to stop the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Junius and Van Buren just past the Concho River bridge.  

The allege suspect was reportedly taken in custody at that scene.

At this time there is no information on what started the altercation or the identities of those involved.
