DETAILS: Angelo State Football Players Arrested for Brutal On Campus Robbery

SAN ANGELO – Six Angelo State University football players have been arrested over the past two days for a robbery that took place on the ASU campus last week.

According to court documents the robbery occurred on Aug. 26 at around 7:30 p.m.

Police confirmed that they spotted D'Koeion Hammond, Kameren Kirkwood, Roy Morris, Brenton Frizell, Stilton McKelvey, and Michael Murphy on camera leaving the Texan Hall dorm at 7:31 p.m. At the same time surveillance video shows the victim leaving the outdoor basketball slab on campus carrying a black Adidas backpack, white Lebron Nike shoes, and a basketball.

The victim walked to the lower Academic parking lot, P-40 located at 2500 Dena, where he was met by the five. In the parking lot, Hammond, Morris and Frizzle were caught on camera striking the victim in the head and upper torso with closed fists and feet.

Not ten minutes later, at 7:42 p.m., Texan Hall video showed Frizell and Murphy in possession of the basketball and Miller in possession of the backpack. The shoes were listed as stolen in the affidavit but no mention of the police finding the shoes.

All of the suspects involved in the Robbery were athletes on the Angelo State University's football team. It is unknown their current status on the team.

San Angelo LIVE! reached out to ASU for a statement but they refused.

"As this is an ongoing investigation, we cannot provide additional comments. Thank you," stated ASU's Director of Communications Brittney Miller.

All of the suspect's bonds were set at $45,000. As of Sep. 2 at 10 a.m., all of them have been released except for McKelvey.

Their status on the team is not known?!  I would hope that they are no longer on the team!  Thugs!

These little thugs need to have the harshest penalties the law will throw at them. Permanent ban from college sports. Little assholes!

Not everybody gets to go to college and even fewer get to play college football. These two-bit thugs threw it all away.

I posted a comment here alleging that the above ball players were too stupid for college, and too stupid for jail. This was deleted by SAL, I assume that they were concerned about my comment being racist. Although SAL rails against cancel culture, I feel as if I have been canceled by them.

They have been doing it for a long time now, they dont care if they do it, only if the people they do not like do it.

Realistically though, I would bet their sponsors told them what to allow and not to allow, it's all about money.
