Texas Man Wanted for Lewd Acts with a Child is this Month's Featured Fugitive

LUBBOCK, TX – A Tulia, TX man has been named the featured fugitive for March and is wanted for several counts of sexual acts with a child.

James Mark Bishop is wanted for indecency with a child, continuous sexual assault of a child, and downloading child pornography.

Bishop, 49, worked as a deputy in Oklahoma with the Texas County Sheriff’s Office and was arrested in 2005 for sexual exploitation of a child and in 2007 on child pornorgraphy charges. Bishop was released in 2011 and moved to Tulia, Texas where he was arrested for sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child with a child under the age of 14.

Bishop has been on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives since October 2021.

James Mark Bishop is 6’1”, 245 lbs. He has been a deputy with a sheriff’s office, been trained in martial arts, could be using fake identification, and could be armed and dangerous.
