Officer Cited in Morning Motor Vehicle Accident

A motor vehicle accident involving a Mitsubishi Mirage and a San Angelo Police Unit resulted in the officer being cited Monday morning for failure to yield right of way.

The PD unit was heading westbound on North St. and came to a stop at the cross of Van Buren and North. Meanwhile, the Mirage was heading southbound on Van Buren St., when the police vehicle pulled out in front of it, resulting in the crash.

The officer said he just didn't see the Mirage coming, investigator Stephen Quade said. The officer will be cited for failure to yield right of way. His police unit will be towed to the city shop where damages will be repaired.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Whats the officers name..........I need to know who to look out for...did he have insurance, was his seatbelt on, etc.
I would like to know the officer's name as well. he may have caused an accident but at least he manned up to it instead of saying the other car was traveling too fast or some other implausible story.
