Dudra Butler Endorses Andrew Graves for County Court at Law Judge

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo civic activist Dudra Butler has endorsed attorney Andrew Graves for Tom Green County Court at Law #2 Judge.  

Below is Butler's endorsement letter exclusive to San Angelo LIVE!: 

"I am Dudra Butler, a longtime political observer and participant.  I pride myself on doing my homework in regard to learning about each candidates background, knowledge of the office being sought and of the community overall.  In addition, it matters to me how much experience is being brought to the table; also just as important to me is the candidates overall temperament.

I have read & studied with interest all of the flyers on the vying candidates and watched most of the forums where the candidates have spoken, etc.  Having done all of this, I have arrived at my choice for  County Court at Law Judge #2

I feel the most experienced and qualified candidate to replace retiring longtime County Court at Law #2 Judge Penny Robert's is ANDREW GRAVES.

From all indication, Graves is who I believe can from the very onset, carry right on with the precedent set by Robert's.  He knows this community well; having put himself out there not only in his job, but in the role of volunteering and giving back to his beloved community, serving on a multitude of boards.  This to me means he has taken time to nourish the people of which he will serve.

On the professional note; Graves has served as a defense attorney & a prosecutor; having worked in both criminal & civil cases in Ft. Worth, before returning to San Angelo over 20 years ago.  He has defended the rights of children & families in Tom Green Co. in hundreds of CPS cases.  He has handled more than 200 contested Trials including over 50 Jury Trials, representing clients in more than 30 counties across Texas.

That kind of experience can't be matched for this job.  Therefore the choice is clear to me; I endorse ANDREW GRAVES for County Court at Law #2 Judge."
