NAPLES, FL- The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has released body cam footage of the recent tiger attack where a third-party staff member was seriously injured by Eko, an 8-year-old Mayalan Tiger who later after being shot by a deputy.
The man who was attacked by the tiger was part of a third-party cleaning service and was not authorized to be near the enclosure with the tiger.

Pepper spray would have worked, taser more than likely would have worked, heck even discharging the gun near the animals' head probably would have worked. Why is it first instinct to shoot the tiger that was just doing what tigers do?

PermalinkI agree the tiger was acting normal. This was not a puppy in a kennel.
I posted this the first time this story was presented. (Darwin's Law was trying to play out but, the Deputies interfered. Now the guy that decided it's ok to reach into a tiger's cage and pet it, will still be in the gene pool.)
