Oversized Load Hits Overpass So Hard an Excavator Was Knocked off the Trailer

MIDLAND, TX –– A Midland County overpass was damaged after being struck by an oversized load on Monday morning near the intersection of FM 307 and I-20.

According to TxDOT, after the load struck the overpass, an "excavator came off the trailer and caused some damage to the pavement."

As a result of the crash, traffic will be diverted from FM 307 to the I-20 service roads until the area is cleaned and the damage is inspected.

Wonder if it'll take them 3+ years to fix this overpass like it has the Bell Street overpass, which is still 1/2 way closed down ?
