Sweetwater Police Department Mourns Loss Of K-9 Officer

SWEETWATER, TX –– The Sweetwater Police Department Wednesday announced the passing of K-9 Officer Dana.

According to SPD, Officer Dana spent seven years with the department. The first two with one handler and the last five Officer Caleb Norman.

"Dana was not only a work partner for her handlers, but a member of their families,” said Officer Norman.

During her time as a K-9, Dana conducted multiple multiple vehicle searches that led to the discovery of narcotics.

Dana passed away on November 10th at the age of eight.
