San Angelo's Honky Tonk Man Takes Top Spot In Texas Country Music Chart

SAN ANGELO, TX -- From playing in front of anyone who would listen just 8 years ago to taking the top spot on the Texas Country music radio chart, San Angelo's own Case Hardin has made quite the name for himself.

The single 'Alcohol Abuse' was the top song on the Texas Country Music Radio Report the week of November 5th ahead of top Texas Country artists such as Cody Jinx, and the duo of Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers.

The last time Hardin was in the headlines was back in April when his guitar was stolen and recovered before the start of a show here in San Angelo. Although having an instrument like his prized guitar returned safe and sound is a win unlike anything else taking the top spot on the chart was a special feeling.

"Being number one right now is like a dream," said Hardin. "We've gotten close a few number twos. We're super thankful and happy and we're excited to see where the other singles come out on the upcoming record coming out in January."

WATCH as Hardin performs his new hit single, 'Alcohol Abuse,' plus describes the inspiration behind it.

Hardin's new album is set to be released in January of 2022.
