Man Arrested After Assaulting Teen In Her Own Home

 

ABILENE, TX –– A 20-year-old Abilene man is behind bars after allegedly sexually assaulting a child.

According to authorities, the assault occurred on March 1st of last year when Jonathan Cox visited the home of the victim, a girl under the age of 17.

Cox had been invited to play video games with the girl's brothers and stayed the night.

The next morning Cox allegedly forced himself on the victim. The victim told police she told Cox to stop and attempted to push him off her.

After the victim was examined, a nurse reported having observed trauma.

Cox was finally arrested on October 4th after being contacted about his warrant. He is currently being held in the Taylor County Jail and his bond has been set at $75,000.
