Senator Ted Cruz Talks Illegal Immigration and Bombers in West Texas

ABILENE – West Texas welcomed Senator Ted Cruz on Thursday as he visited several cities in one day.

During his visit to Abilene, Cruz discussed the future of Dyess Air Force Base.

“I'm focused on making sure we see a continuity of mission at Dyess as we make that transition. We will see Dyess remain the premier bombing base in the Air Force, both with the B-1 and then as the B-1 is phased out with the B-21," said Cruz. "I am a champion for Dyess. Let me say the community and Abilene does such a tremendous job of supporting the airmen of Dyess.”

Cruz also discussed Abilene seeing an influx of illegal immigrants as they are processed by ICE.

“You just see caravans of people and by the way, they don't have to be apprehended they go seek out the Border Patrol agent," said Cruz. "They turn themselves in and within days the Biden administration puts them on a plane and flies them all over the country to Abilene, or anywhere else.”

Cruz also visited the City of Midland where he discussed the addition of the new portion of Interstate 14 in Texas.

The addition will begin in Odessa and go through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.

“It’s a big deal for West Texas and for the whole state of Texas," said Cruz. "It's a big deal to be able to move goods and services to be able to move the output from the incredible shale revolution we are seeing that the Permian is driving that Midland-Odessa is driving."

According to Cruz, the expansion of the interstate will help create new jobs and connect major military bases to the East Coast.

“This will have a very real benefit to Texas’s military bases, a very real benefit to oil and gas and energy in West Texas, and a very real benefit to farmers and ranchers throughout the state of Texas,” said Cruz.

Ted Cruz is pathetic. He voted NO on the bill that contains interstate 14. So sad the smart people of Texas falls for his political showboating.

As Trump called him, "Needle Nose Ted", makes me laugh every time he opens his mouth.   Ted, don't you have a plane to catch to Cancun, oh wait, that's only in the winter time!
