Suspect Arrested In Fatal Stabbing

 

ABILENE, TX – As the investigation continues into the murder of a 26-year-old Abilene man, authorities have confirmed one suspect has been arrested in connection to the case.

The victim, Joseph Rogers, was located by law enforcement at his grandmother's home on May 5th. According to police, Rogers was found in the back alley of the home with severe stab wounds. He would ultimately succumb to his injuries.

On Friday afternoon, officers with the Abilene Police Department arrested 29-year-old Fernando Gallegos of Abilene.

Gallegos was charged with murder and his bond was set at $1 million.
