BULVERDE, TX -- A Texas police department sparked a conversation on social media after sharing this post on Facebook.

The post garnered more than 200 comments and nearly 1,000 shares.

The vast majority of comments were in support of law enforcement and the post.

Bulverde is located in Comal County and has a population of approximately 5,100 people.

According to the department's official Facebook page, BPD has 14 full-time officers and 4 reserve positions authorized. The first patrol shift began in October of 2004.
