San Angelo Downtown's Concho Avenue Re-Opens

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Chadbourne Street project’s phase 1 is nearing completion and Concho Avenue downtown was re-opened at about 5 p.m. Friday afternoon. The City of San Angelo calls this afternoon’s soft re-opening of east-west vehicle traffic on Concho a significant milestone.

Friday afternoon, detour signs still redirected traffic away from Concho, but motorists can navigate around the signs to reach popular downtown businesses that were previously blocked. Motorists can now also drive straight through and across the Concho-Chadbourne intersection.

The Twohig and Chadbourne intersection will remain open to traffic at this time. Business owners that will be directly affected by the construction have been notified.

Sure gonna have a purty star to drive over the top of while countless other miles of roads could have used that 23 million just to make them semi useable to drive on.... Try going East on 29th street between the Hirschfield steel properties if you want a bone jarring experience.....
