88-Year-Old Dead Following Roll Over Crash on US 277

ANSON, TX – A nearly 90-year-old man died Monday after rolling his car outside of Anson.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Mar. 8 at around 7:25 p.m., troopers with the DPS were dispatched to the US 277 8.5 miles North of Anson.

When they arrived, the troopers discovered a 2008 Buick Lacrosse that was in the middle of a field.

The driver of the Buick, Stanley Kirby, 88, of Anson, was taken to the Anson General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Troopers determined that the Buick was heading south on US 277 when the driver veered off the right side of the roadway, went into the field and then rolled multiple times.

The body was taken to the Anson Funeral Home.

Troopers confirmed that Kirby was wearing his seatbelt during the crash.

The weather was clear and the roads were dry during the crash. The posted speed limit on US 277 is 75 mph.

Nearly 90 years old driving...... Now, the police should charge the immediate family members with murder and put them all in prison. If they'd have taken his driving privileges away and either found some way to contain him at home or put him in a nursing home 20 years ago, he'd still be here today........

Its very sad. I took care of Stanley..for sometime. I had only met 1 family member and thst was his son. He became very sick with the virus..was the hospital for about 3 months. I never saw 1 family member go visit him..call him..or even bother to check on him even after he came home. I had called the home health agency in reguards to him driving. They said i couldn't kerp him from it..yet i was not immediate family ither..so there wasnt much i could do. I called his son and his wife and told them that i felt as if he should not be driving.. .that was a voicemail because they never picked up the phone. After that crash family came out of the wood works..cleaned out his house the same day..knowing he had a will. I never met any of his family members except his son..no one ever helped Stanley..never called..never checked on him

The min he passes...they run through his house to get the things of his that they wanted.
