SAN ANGELO, TX – Mr. Potato Head gets hacked by the cancel culture and now identifies as gender neutral.
According to Hasbro Gaming, starting later this year, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head will become the gender neutral spud "Potato Head."
Currently on Hasbro's website there are still many Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads in a variety of costumes. These designs however did not fit in with the cancel culture.
"Culture has evolved," Kimberly Boyd, the senior vice president of global brands and general manager at Hasbro, told the Fast Company in an interview. "Kids want to be able to represent their own experiences. The way the brand currently exists — with the 'Mr.' and 'Mrs.' — is limiting when it comes to both gender identity and family structure."
This isn't the first company recently that has rebranded due to the extreme lefts agenda. Others included Aunt Jemima's Pancake Mix, Land O Lake's Butter, Uncle Ben's Rice, and many others. Another toy brand Matel made the first gender neutral Barbie in 2019.
Mr. Potato Head was first distributed in the 1950s and became one of the most sold toys in history. One of it's most popular and well known feature is his giant mustache.
