Covid Shutdown Coming to San Angelo in Four Days

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Tom Green County has once again reached the midpoint in the 7-day hospitalization rate timeline that could lead to closures of local businesses.

For the third day in a row Trauma Service Area K has surpassed the threshold set by Governor Abbott back in October when businesses were allowed to return to 75 percent capacity.

Last week, Area J was required to close bars and reduce capacity to 50 percent in local businesses after spending more than 7 days above the threshold. The current data shows they have been above fifteen percent for the last seven days.

The area is reporting 297 patients hospitalized with coronavirus and 41 available ICU beds.

This seems to be speculation based on current trends whereas the title makes it seem as if it is fact...which it is not as of now.  Just an observation.

City of San Angelo just posted on Facebook that the city is not shutting down in four days!  Governor Abbott makes that call.

Where and when did the city announce this? The COSA twitter post from a few hours ago states otherwise.
