Driver Transported to the Hospital After Crashing Into Mailbox

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Shortly before 4:00 p.m. SAPD officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Southland Ave. for reports of a major crash.

Radio reports indicated a single vehicle had struck a mailbox and the driver had sustained minor injuries.

According to officers on the scene, the driver failed to control his speed and collided with the mailbox. It appears the car had alignment issues that could have contributed to the crash.

The driver was transported to San Angelo Community Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.

He will receive a citation for failure to control speed.

Officer to driver: "What happened here?"
Driver: " It was the car's fault! I was just setting there in the driver's seat, minding to my own business and all of sudden... the car crashed into the mailbox, I had nothing to do with it officer, honest!"
