Angelo State University Police Identify Trespassing Suspect

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Angelo State Police Department confirmed the man arrested yesterday for being inside of the wrong dorm room.

As previously reported, on September 21, Officers with the University Police Department began investigating a criminal trespass of a habitation incident that occurred early Monday morning in Texan Hall. A female student reported seeing a white male subject in her living area. When the subject saw the female, he fled the room. The female student was not harmed.

Officers quickly reviewed the security cameras in Texan Hall and were able to identify the male subject as a student who also lives in Texan Hall. Officers detained the male for questioning. The suspect is currently in custody at the police department while officers obtain an arrest warrant.

Police have now confirmed that the male student was 18-year-old Tristen Bailey. Bailey is charged with Criminal Trespass of a Habitation. He remains in the Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $7,500 bond.

ASU PD wants to remind Students to be sure they keep their doors locked and immediately report any suspicious activity to campus police at (325) 942-2071.
