SAN ANGELO, TX – If you thought all hope was lost on getting a State Fair of Texas corn dog this year think again.
According to Fletcher's, the official corn dog of the State Fair of Texas, on October 25, the rapidly growing quick-service chicken brand Golden Chick will be serving the Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs at 187 of its restaurants throughout all three states. The Golden Chick team has been working diligently alongside Fletcher's to ensure they are providing the same hand-battered, made-to-order product fans expect.
So pull-up, drive-thru and come get your original Fletcher’s Corny Dogs at Golden Chick!
There are two Golden Chick's in San Angelo. One is located at 2602 Sherwood Way and the other is at 3393 Knickerbocker Rd.

PermalinkI can't say that I've ever had a Fletchers corn dog since the last time I went to the state fair was in the 70's, but I did go to the drive through at my local Golden Chick today with Corny dog on my mind. The corn dog alone is $5.00, $7 and change for the combo. Thinking a $5 corn dog must be pretty big, I ordered just the dog, which came with the oh so essential mustard. I was shocked to see that my $5 bought a dog that was no bigger than the ones that the deli at WallyWorld sells for a buck. Good corn dog, but not THAT good...

PermalinkThat's no surprise. 90% of the restaurants in San Angelo overcharge for their "food" . Believe it or not they now charge 15 bucks for a flippin chicken fried steak........ its ridiculous.
