FBI Captures Fugitive Muslim Murderer

JUSTIN, TX – Agents with the FBI captured a man wanted for the slaying of his two teenage daughters on Wednesday in a small north Texas town.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, on August 26, Yaser Abdel Said, a capital murder suspect wanted in connection with the homicide of his two teenage daughters, Amina and Sarah, was taken into custody without incident today in Justin, Texas, by the FBI’s Dallas Field Office. Said was placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list on December 4, 2014. Said is currently in federal custody and will soon be transferred to Dallas County.

“The FBI-led Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force has worked tirelessly to find Yaser Abdel Said. These experienced investigators never gave up on their quest to find him and pledged to never forget the young victims in this case,” said FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Matthew DeSarno. “Said was placed on the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List nearly six years ago for the heinous act he committed against his daughters. His capture and arrest bring us one step closer to justice for Amina and Sarah. We want to thank our partners at the Irving Police Department for working with us to apprehend this dangerous individual.”

“On January 1, 2008, the Irving Police Department opened a murder investigation after two young girls were found shot to death. Since that night, the members of the Irving Police Department and our partners with the Dallas FBI have tirelessly pursued justice for Amina and Sarah,” said Irving Police Chief Jeff Spivey. “Even after 12 years of frustration and dead ends, the pursuit for their killer never ceased. Today’s arrest of their father, Yaser Said brings us closer to ensuring justice is served on their behalf.”

Said took his daughters Amina (18) and Sarah (17) for a ride in his taxicab on January 1, 2008, under the guise of taking them to get something to eat. He drove them to Irving, Texas, where he allegedly shot both girls inside the taxicab. They both died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Based on an investigation by the Irving Police Department, on January 2, 2008, a capital murder-multiple warrant was issued for Said’s arrest. On August 21, 2008, a federal unlawful flight to avoid prosecution warrant was issued by the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas.

The search for Said was coordinated by the FBI’s Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force, which is composed of FBI special agents and officers from the Carrollton, Dallas, Garland, Grand Prairie, and Irving Police Departments and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Yaser Abdel Said was the 504th person to be placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, which was established in March 1950. Additional information concerning Said and the FBI’s list of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives can be found at fbi.gov/wanted.

When I read the headline, I thought the story would be about a person who murdered Muslims. Then I read farther and discovered the man was Egyptian. If you want to stir up Islamaphobes, keep up the good work with your disorganized language. A murderer is a murderer regardless of the nationality, gender, ethnicity, national origin, or any other of a multitude of differences.

You shouldn't jump the gun by judging him, Liz. He was a father engaged in a time-honored cultural practice that is integral to his Islamic faith. Brush up on your Koran and try to show some solidarity by wearing a burqa before you go forcing your culture on other people.

Anyway, glad they caught the Islamurderer.

murderers who own Bibles and wear cross pendants being classified as ''Christian murderers'', someday.

For some odd reason, even the moron murderers who pepper their statements to the authorities with "The ''Devil'' made me do it!", are never classified as ''Christian murderers".

It just seems like a worthwhile participation trophy of sorts, which all murderers should receive, considering the apparent relevance of whatever superstitious bullshit they subscribe to.

"Half the people in the world think that the metaphors of their religious traditions, for example, are facts. And the other half contends that they are not facts at all. As a result we have people who consider themselves believers because they accept metaphors as facts, and we have others who classify themselves as atheists because they think religious metaphors are lies." - Joseph Campbell

Superstition is as superstition does, I suppose.

A rule of thumb that I keep in the back of my mind is as follows:
1) Was a heinous crime committed by a person specifically in order to align a person's life and actions with a their religious beliefs?
2) Were those religious beliefs considered either mainstream or orthodox within that religious tradition?
3) Are their actions condoned by the majority of practitioners of either the modern mainstream or orthodox interpretations of that faith?

If these criteria apply, it might not be a bad idea to slap their religious affiliation onto the descriptions of the crime or crimes. Given the choice between condoning intolerance from native US traditions and allowing an even more intolerant ideology to break all the laws and unwritten rules as it spreads, I'm willing to give a weighted pass to attitudes that keep the area from turning into the Dearborn Michigan of West Texas.

At least our local Catholic terror cells don't proselytize.
