Damaging Storms and Now Wildfires Spread Across Tom Green County

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Volunteer Firefighters from across Tom Green County are fighting wildfires after last night's rogue storm wreaked havoc in the San Angelo area.

According to reports, volunteer firefighters are battling wildfires off of Door Key Lane near Christoval, Twin Buttes Reservoir at Boy's Ranch and CSA Materials near Burma Rd. in western Tom Green County. 

First responders were almost overwhelmed early Saturday morning as a rogue storm blew through the city causing heavy widespread damage as we reported earlier.

The Christoval VFD, Pecan Creek VFD and Wall VFD are at the Door Key Road fire.

The Dove Creek VFD is fighting the Twin Buttes fire.

Volunteers from Grape Creek VFD are fighting the Burma Road fire. 

No structures are threatened at this time and there are no reports of injuries.

The fire was not at the boys ranch. It was on 2166 but it was across the street closer to Ducote air strip close to the river. A great big thank you for their quick response.
