SAN ANGELO, TX – A red Ford Ranger and a silver Chevrolet SUV crashed at the intersection of FM-2105 and U.S. 87 north Friday afternoon injuring at least two people.
Reporters on the scene say it appears one vehicle was attempting to turn onto U.S. 87 from FM-2105.
The vehicles crashed in the intersection.
First responders requested two ambulances for two individuals who appeared to have non life threatening injuries.
Deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office and Texas Department of Public Safety directed traffic around the crash scene.
DPS troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
Photos from the scene show the airbags in the SUV deployed.

... if the drivers turning onto Highway 87 North ... actually STOP ( there was a STOP sign there at FM 2105 the last time I was down at that intersection) and look down 87 North to the south ... and proceed to to right on the 87 North... when the highway is clear of traffic. I lived here in San Angelo and Tom Green county all my life and have driven west on FM 2105 to turn right on to 87 North at least a hundred times or more ... and have never even had as much as a "near miss" there at that intersection. I think it depends on whether the drivers now days ... actually have a license to drive and know how to drive, but that just my thoughts! ( Suggestion: Drive Defensively every day in this county! )

PermalinkYou've just got to turn being an idiot on full blast to have a wreck at that intersection. You can see a full mile or more to the North on 87 and a full mile or more to the South on 87 when you are at that intersection. If you are so stupid that you can't look that far both directions to see if it's clear to proceed, then you deserve to just get totally wiped out. It's just a pure shame though that your ignorance has to cost somebody else just minding their business to incur damage and injury because of your stupidity.....
