Sudents Return to Classes in the San Angelo ISD Amid Pandemic

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Independent School District started fall classes in-person on Wednesday amidst the coronavirus pandemic. 

"You don't have to be great to start but you have to start to be great." said SAISD Superintendent Dr. Carl Dethloff on resuming classes this fall.

The school district is well prepared to begin classes after purchasing 74,000 masks and over 2,500 face shields with funding received from the C.A.R.E.S act. 

Classes began on August 19 at around 8 a.m. All students were given the option to either take online only courses or to go in person.

San Angelo Junior High Schools and Elementary Schools began in person classes on Wednesday. 

High school students will begin in person on September 2.  High School students began attending virtual classes on Wednesday.
