With all the ghosts and ghouls expected to be roaming the streets next Thursday, you ought to know just where to go to avoid the creeps while collecting your candy.
To make the search a little easier on you, we’ve compiled a list of citywide kid-safe trick-or-treat locations, with the times and addresses. Happy Halloween from the LIVE! Team!
Tuesday, Oct. 29
Start the Halloween holiday a little early with the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the YMCA and Safe Kids of San Angelo.
For the third year in a row, the MPO will be providing safety tips and reflective bags for trick-or-treaters free of charge. Head over to the YMCA on Oct. 29 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. to pick up yours.
The San Angelo YMCA is located at 353 S Randolph St.
Thursday, Oct. 31
Sunset Mall’s Safe Trick or Treat
The Sunset Mall will be hosting their annual Safe Trick or Treat starting at 6:00 p.m. on Halloween. The event is open to children 12 and under and their families, and participants are asked to line up at either fountain to begin the rounds.
The event is free and open to the public. Free sacks will be provided while supplies last, and participating stores will be marked with orange signs on their storefronts.
Fire Truck or Treat
Local fire stations invite families to visit their stations for their Truck or Treat program from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Halloween. The San Angelo Fire Department would like to remind attendees not to park in front of the trucks, as they will still need to respond to calls. Below, the addresses of the stations.

Trunk or Treat
The Majestic Mustangs Car Club of San Angelo will be hosting their first ever Trunk O Treat on Halloween Night from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Credit World parking lot, 4248 Sherwood Way. Everyone is invited to attend
Trunk or Treat
A number of participating churches and a school will be featuring the annual Trunk or Treat in their parking lots, and invite children and families to attend while supplies last. Trick-or-treating begins at all locations at 6:00 p.m. on Halloween; ending times vary and are noted below.
College Hills Baptist Church, 2102 Johnson St. Runs until 7:30 p.m.
First United Methodist Church, 37 E Beauregard Ave. Runs until 7:30 p.m.
Harris Avenue Baptist Church, 1026 E Harris Ave. Runs until 8:00 p.m.
Trinity Lutheran Church, 3536 YMCA Drive. Runs until 8:00 p.m.
Bonham Elementary, 4630 Southland. While supplies last
Myrtlewood Estates
Families and children are invited to join staff and residents of the retirement community for trick-or-treating, a Halloween parade, and costume contest on Thursday.
Parade and contest take place at 11:00 a.m., trick-or-treating runs from 6:15-7:15 p.m. Contact Betty at 325-947-7194 for more information.
Myrtlewood Estates is located at 2695 Valleyview Blvd.
San Angelo Frightfest
The third annual event will be held at the San Angelo Nature Center beginning at 7:00 p.m., and will feature a mini haunted house, free candy, snake feeding, pictures with a python, games and more.
The San Angelo Nature Center is located at 7409 Knickerbocker Rd.
Last House on the Left Haunted House
Suitable for teens and adults, the Last House on the Left is San Angelo’s scariest Haunted House. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and close at 10:30. Admission is $5. Organizers advise that the haunted house is not suitable for children.
Last House on the Left is located at 114 Lowrie St.
Fright Night in Eola
The old Community Center in Eola is hosting a fright night on the 31st from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $10 per person
