San Angelo Named One of the Best Cities to Live After the Pandemic

SAN ANGELO, TX – Business Insider declared San Angelo one of the top 19 cities in the South to move to after the Coronavirus pandemic is over.

The study was based on a variety of metrics from government and academic datasets which included looking at the share of jobs that can potentially be done remotely, the pre-coronavirus unemployment rate, and housing costs.

Out of the many southern cities Business Insider picked the top 19. Only three of those cities are in Texas and San Angelo is one of them.

San Angelo ranked at number 17 because of it's small population density and short weekly commute time.

"San Angelo's population density of 34.9 is the smallest population density among metro areas in the South," stated the article. "This city also has the second-shortest weekly commute among metro areas in this region at two hours and 53 minutes."

The other two Texas towns were College Station ranked at 4 and Wichita Falls ranked at 12.
