The San Angelo Police Department is still seeking information on the driver of a white or tan truck towing an old tractor on a rusty trailer that hit a woman and dragged her over 500 feet yesterday morning at Knickerbocker Road and Bentwood.
The woman is reported to have climbed out of her vehicle at the stoplight of those two streets to knock on the truck ahead of them, which had just hit them when switching lanes.
The driver then took off, but the victim was caught up on the vehicle and was dragged until she came free, then was run over by the trailer. She has since been transported to Dallas for surgery.
Witnesses described the suspect’s vehicle as a white or cream-colored pickup truck, possibly extended cab or 4-door, towing a rust-colored trailer with a rust-colored tractor. The truck was last seen traveling southwest towards Lake Nasworthy.
