One reason we are experiencing such high numbers of cases again, is less than half the people are wearing masks & almost no one is social distancing. Why are most of the cases Hispanic? There is something to that & I’m NOT making this a racial issue. The city needs an all out campaign to get everyone to wear masks & social distance!

Permalink... there is a serious Pandemic (Covid19) going all over the world and here in America... a human being by the name of George Floyd gets murdered by a Bad Police officer and let's not forget the others Non-White human beings that were also killed by other not trained properly Police officers here in America... the Covid19 virus is still a very serious threat to human lives. So, a large percentage of Americans put a world wide pandemic... on "Hold" and decide to protest and riot... and tear down historical statues, change names on certain schools and turn our Country that my Father and many other Fathers went to war in WW Two to defend and serve "Our" Country to give their children and Grandchildren the Freedoms our Country is known for and a Country to feel safe to live in... and we put a deadly virus "On Hold"??
For protesters that should be protesting "Peacefully" and some aren't?? WOW ... I mean WOW... seems to me that doesn't make sense! I understand that the Spike in positive cases of the virus are due entirely on all the protests and rallies... but... it didn't help "Flatten" the curve of the virus, but it seems that a lot of people have totally dismissed the fact that this virus is still a threat and now we are seeing a rise in the number of cases being hospitalized! Wake up America... it's time to get our priorities straight and "Stop" living in the past and live in the "Now" and the "Future "!

PermalinkWearing a mask is not hard to do. Science does make sense. So this is what goes through my head when I see someone who chooses to wear a mask: They must have the capacity to care about others, probably also chooses to wear a seat belt when driving, uses the turn indicator, washes their hands after using the restroom, washes their hands before preparing food, practices safe sex, knows how to save money so they don’t have to ask for help, understands why it is a good idea to look both ways before crossing the street, etc…
Seeing people who choose to wear a mask creates positive thoughts.

PermalinkWe're granted all of those accredited qualities by simply wearing a mask?
That's one hell of a package deal.

PermalinkDon't touch your face or your mask til you have used sanitizer on your hands, masks work! Just because some people don't wear them right doesn't mean you shouldn't...yep, I know they suck, specially in the heat. But this virus sucks worse. I am stayinf home as much as possible (which for me is most every day) wear a mask when out and use the sanitizer. I sanitize every grocery item (except produce of course) with wipes. I sanitize my mail. I sanitize my doorknobs. I DO NOT visit my bil who needs a kidney and is immune compromised, nor any of his family members. Don't go to bars, resturants, or rallies! Jesus people, use your brains!

PermalinkTin foil to me. I still am not going to wear a mask. At my age I have faith my immune system will take care of this inflated virus and the new "executive order" cant stop me. By the way an n95 mask cannot stop aerosol-ed particles smaller than the microns it stops from inhalation which is .95 of a micron. Enjoy the lack of oxygen

PermalinkI am very curious about the amount of elderly that have tested positive for Covid-19 lately. Is it possible to find out if these are from local nursing homes and if so, which ones?

PermalinkThis is not a statistic that the San Angelo public health department publicizes. It would make a great investigative piece for this news outlet. You can also call Sandra Villarreal's office; she the public health designee in TGC. Also you can call the city's public information office, Brian Groves or Lorelei Day.

PermalinkPersons younger than 10 years of age aren't required to wear masks, and you don't have to either.
Simply "identify" as a child under 10. This puts the Lefty's between a rock and your safe space, as this is a page right out of their own playbook.
Rachel Dozier is Black, Bruce Jenner is female, I'm Superfly and you're a maskless 10 year old.
Problem solved.

PermalinkYou forgot to mention to go find that Mythical Fountain of Youth Lares ...LOL ... your suggestion of a loophole that would exempted a person over the age of 10 wouldn't work. There's no way I could pass as person 10 years old or under LMBO! The last time I could pass as a 10 year old was .... when I was 10 years old ... and I would think that anyone that was assigned the task of enforcing the must wear a mask order in those stores.... would also .... laugh and escort you to the exit! Sorry ... but ... "That Dog won't hunt!" ... Superfly!
