SAN ANGELO, TX – The City has seen a post circulating on social media that there is going to be an in-person meeting in July where the public will make comments regarding Suddenlink services. We wanted to clarify a few things. As of right now, there is not a meeting scheduled in July that has an agenda item regarding Suddenlink. During this COVID-19 pandemic, the San Angelo City Council has met virtually, not holding in-person meetings, in an effort to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19. We will continue holding virtual meetings in July. Citizens are welcome to send in public comment for City Council meetings to our City Clerk. We hope to have a meeting in the future where the public can come in person and share their thoughts regarding concerns with the local cable provider but a date for that has not been set at this time. Citizens can still share their comments with the City. Mayor Brenda Gunter stated on June 2 that the City is seeking comments regarding service with the cable provider in town.

... which includes Facebook and Twitter. I guess you could consider making comments on YouTube about Music videos as social media since it's affiliated with Facebook in some form.. but I only comment on Music videos and a few News channels... but for the most part... I had my Facebook profile deleted and disabled Facebook over 6 years ago ! This News article has peaked my curiosity! What are the cable subscribers commenting about SuddenLink? I haven't had cable for 7 years. I get all my TV and Movie entertainment from Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime! I have my reasons for not subscribing to SuddenLink and those reasons will remain my personal reasons and it's not anyone's business... what those reasons are! Now, I can relate to why others may be upset with said cable provider! I have long thought that San Angelo is large enough in population to have another Cable provider in the City to choose from! I just think it's sorta "Strange" to have a public forum for this situation! This is only a guess ... but ... maybe said Cable provider has maybe "overpriced " themselves and the citizens are not happy with that ... but as I stated... it's only a guess. Allow me to to say that again ... so it's clear to any SuddenLink management that may read this ... so they won't try to take what I said ... out of context or to twist it around... " It's just a guess " on why subscribers in the area may be unhappy. I don't know ... that why I'm curious about this article and situation! Well ... it's back to my YouTube Music... then on to Netflix or Hulu or Amazon Prime! Have a pleasant weekend everyone! :-)

Permalink... and I did what you suggested. I didn't read every one of the comments but I read enough to get the answer I wanted to know. After reading the comments I came to the conclusion that just about all of the comments I did read are the very same complaints I had 6 years ago when I decided not to be a subscriber of SuddenLink Cable. I also came to the conclusion... "What took the subscribers of San Angelo "SO LONG" to finally figure out that the SuddenLink Cable service here in San Angelo has had a monopoly on cable and fast internet WiFi service? So now I know ... what I have known for a long time... SuddenLink cable has terrible services that are over priced for the quality of service they provide! Thanks again for your suggestion and posting a comment!
