All City Staff Placed In Quarantine After COVID-19 Exposure


RISING STAR, TX – All city staff in the City of Rising Star have been quarantined after a city employee was exposed to an individual who tested positive for coronavirus.

According to KTXS, all staff members were asked to quarantine for 10 days after the exposure occurred on Friday. 

Staff members will continue answering phone calls and payments can be mailed or dropped off at City Hall.

The Rising Star Police Department also announced they will be limiting their activity for the next 10 days, including only answering emergency calls.

"Public health and safety is our paramount concern," said Police Chief Wayne Edgin. "I will be available by telephone to answer questions. Call Eastland County Dispatch to get in touch with me."
