SAN ANGELO, TX -- The City of San Angelo would like to remind community members certain items should never be flushed down a toilet or poured down the drain.
Maintenance personnel have seen an increase in socks, t-shirts, and undergarments that are flushed down the toilet and cause damage to city pipes. Flushable wipes are the main culprit of clogged pipes and pump station failures, according to the city.
"One station had 55-gallon buckets of wipes and rags pulled out before the system could be repaired," stated the city in a Facebook post. "Please help us by only flushing toilet paper, water or human waste down the commode."
These are some of the items that should never be introduced into the system:
- Diapers
- Wipes
- Flushable wipes
- Feminine products
- Sanitary napkins
- Clothing
- Paper towels
- Toilet rolls
- Cotton balls
- Q-tips
- Dental floss
- Hair
- Bleaches
- Paints
- Fats
- Oils
- Grease

Permalink..or is it just the warmth of Big Brother's loving (smothering) embrace (clutches)?
This tech service, Rita, is actually going to be offered (implemented) as part of the voluntary (mandatory), optional (required) I.D. bundle, along with the 'digital certificates’ (microchips) we'll receive in conjunction with, and in the interest of tracking.....I mean testing.
