Coronavirus: Positive Case Reported at San Angelo Daycare

SAN ANGELO, TX – There are reports Thursday of an unconfirmed positive case of Coronavirus at a San Angelo Daycare.

According to reports, The Kountry Tyme Academy located at 3866 W. Houston Harte Expressway is now closed.

At 8 a.m. Thursday morning an anonymous caller told San Angelo LIVE! that as he was driving his child to daycare, he received a call from another parent who told him a child who attended the daycare had tested positive for Coronavirus.

The anonymous caller said the parent who called him said the daycare knew about the positive case and had not reported it to the CDC or health authorities because they were deciding what to do.  The caller said he then called the daycare and they confirmed to him they had a positive case and were closing.

The owners of the daycare confirmed the case and the closure to local media.

Social media reports indicate the daycare will be closed for employees and clients to self quarantine for 14 days.

This is a developing story.
