SAN ANGELO, TX – Fort Concho has announced its updates to day-to-day operations. Here's the release:
As of this day, we remain open for self-guided tours with Barracks 1 staff enforcing the 10-person limit rule and social distancing. Of course, traffic has been light but we do handle many phone calls.
Rentals
Anyone with a rental between now and April 29 has been offered a full refund or a rebooking opportunity later in year. If the rental is after April 3, renters have the opportunity to “stay the course,” pending further news on restrictions.
Programs & Events
All programs and events, all meetings, and all gatherings between now and April 29 have been cancelled or postponed. NEW DATE for Frontier Day is Saturday June 6. Cowboy Way Jubilee of April 30-May 3 remains on schedule pending evaluation of local/state/national conditions in early April. All programs/events for May and beyond are staying on schedule pending April evaluations
Site Operations
We are maintaining our daily routines with the guidelines of “social distancing” and good practices. Grounds are getting mowed; buildings repaired and roofers are tacking two of the officers’ quarters. OQ 6 exterior renovations should start soon and we have at least one firm looking at a bid to cover all remaining projects. Mules remain oblivious to all issues, local and national. Parade Ground is impressively green

Posts on neighbor app to find out how many people are postings this and asking why there is no ban? If the governor doesn’t want to issue a ban then the police has to find out where are these meetings and send these stupid adults home.
