Home Made Explosive Device Detonates Outside of Lowes

 

ODESSA, TX – Investigators with the Odessa Police Department are currently investigating what appears to be a homemade explosive device that detonated outside of Lowes Home Improvement store.

OPD officials say the device was found after a suspicious person was previously seen in the parking lot of Lowe's Home Improvement Tuesday night.

Reports state that an unknown man placed an object on the east side of the building before fleeing the scene. Witnesses claim they heard an explosion come from the area where the man had last been seen, but officers have been unable to locate the suspicious man since. 

OPD's Bomb Squad was dispatched to the scene to retrieve the remains of the device while Officers continue their investigation.

No one was reportedly injured and OPD is investigating further.

Truly shameful. Some jerk puts an explosive in the parking lot on "International Mario Day," (also Osama Bin Laden's birthday,) and doesn't even have the guts to keep themselves attached to it like a proper terrorist. Endangering innocent people is cowardly, and whoever is responsible *truly* deserves to be taught an old fashioned, Old West lesson!
