Big Rig Stuck Under Overpass Causing Traffic Delays

ABILENE, TX – Downtown Abilene had a traffic backup Tuesday morning thanks to a big rig getting stuck underneath a bridge. 

According to KTXS, officers with the Abilene Police Department were dispatched to the railroad overpass on Ceder St. near downtown Abilene for the report of a truck that was stuck under a bridge. 

When officers arrived, they discovered a big rig with it's trailer hung on the bottom of the bridge. 

The driver claimed that he drove under the bridge but did not read the bridge clearance sign. 

Officer responded to the scene at around 8:30 a.m. and the scene was cleared.
