SAN ANGELO, TX -- The full moon for November will be out tonight.
On November 12, the "Beaver Moon" will be 100 percent visible at around 6:00 p.m. and will not set until around 7:00 the following morning.
According to NASA, the moon is named the "Beaver Moon" because this is the time of the year to set beaver traps to ensure winter furs.
Other names for the moon is the Frost moon, Snow moon, Frosty moon, the snow moon, Kartik Purnima, the Moon of the Boun That Luang Festival, and Il Poya.
