The Boat Couldn't Weather the Storm

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The newly opened San Angelo Restaurant, the Boat, has officially closed it's doors.

The Boat Oyster Bar opened in San Angelo last year around this time and they have officially called it quits.

"We're done done." said one of the workers inside dismantling and packing up items inside of the restaurant.

This was the second "boat" location in Texas and this one was highly anticipated in San Angelo with its Cajun menu and boat shaped building.

This is the third restaurant that has attempted to run out of 2715 Sherwood Way. The others included Peppercorn Grill and the Original Zetner's Resturaunt.

I am sorry to hear this as we liked eating there. Wish the owners the best and hope the next restaurant makes it!

On other news, looks like the City of San Angelo online water payment system has been compromised again. If you pay your water bill online with a credit or debit card, you will need to cancel it and get another one! Ugh. Fraudulent transactions are coming from England and Russia. Just FYI

LMAO.... Who'd-a-thunk-it !!!! I could also name about a dozen more that will soon follow suit too.....

is that restaurants have a higher failure rate than nearly any other type of business. Never ate at the boat, but Yelp reviews were mixed. Certainly, their failure was a combination of issues.
