Before Becoming a Wall Hawk, They Were Tomahawks

SAN ANGELO, TX — Garrett Haney runs the Wall flag football program for the Wall Tomahawks. He volunteers to teach grade schoolers football by coaching.

"You can take every aspect Wall teaches in its sporting programs into everyday life," he said. "My wife and I are really proud to be Wall Hawks."

Wall Head Coach Houston Guy also coaches the Tomahawks in his spare time. "I've been here so long, I get to coach the kids of kids, now," he said, referring to seeing the children of his former varsity players.

Guy remembers his 5th grade son bringing home a playbook that included a triple-option offense. At first, the coach thought the playbook was too complex for kids that young, but was soon persuaded it can work because he saw it work.

The Tomahawks are at the beginning of the progression that starts in grade school for becoming a starter on the varsity Wall Hawks football team. This is one reason Wall is known for its winning football program.

What a fantastic school and community. Careful though, using Tomahawk as a team name will offend the libtards. Especially Fauxcahontas. Or is it She Who Only Lies While Breathing?
