SAN ANGELO, TX -- The driver of a maroon Ford Expedition ran a red light, crashed into a pickup pulling a stock trailer and wound up in the drainage ditch between the north and southbound lanes of N. Bryant Blvd. at 23rd St.
According to San Angelo Police Department investigating officer Welch, the female driver of the Expedition disregarded the red light and crashed into the Dodge Ram pickup that was pulling the empty stock trailer.
The driver of the Expedition was transported by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup was uninjured.
The driver of the Expedition will be issued a citation for disregarding the red light.
The crash backed up traffic on Bryant and 23rd St. while police completed their investigation and cleared the roadway.

Well that worked out for the best all the way around...... The driver of the pickup who was not at fault was not injured and now he gets a free, new pickup and trailer compliments of the idiot driver who ran the red light.... And the icing on the cake, because of her stupidity, now she incurs thousands and thousands of dollars worth of hospital bills for her treatment, her car is now junk and her insurance premiums will now be sky rocket high......

PermalinkHe won't get a new truck. they will total out his which will net him about a thousand. maybe 500 for the trailer since it old too and not worth much. Her insurance will get her truck fixed and from the looks of it she looks like shes just in shock. and if she has accident forgiveness her premiums won't go up at all. Poor lady looked about 70 years old so be nice...
