A crash between a black Mustang and a tanker truck has northbound traffic down to one lane on Bryant near the intersection at 6th Street.
The mustang appears to have rear-ended a GoPetro truck.
No injuries have been reported.
Update 5:33 p.m.
The Mustang has been picked up by the tow truck but the truck is still on the road. It is estimated the truck will remain on the road for the next 20 minutes while a mechanic check for mechanical problems.
Update 5:57 p.m.
An officer on scene explained how the accident occurred. "The tanker was traveling northbound on Bryant in the right-hand lane, put on his emergency flashers and began to stop and slow down for the railroad tracks, which is required by law. The mustang was traveling behind him and she told me that she was looking over her left shoulder to prepare to change lanes to go into the left lane...when she looked back, she didn't realize it had stopped and it was too late. She ran into the back of it."
The driver of the Mustang was cited for driving while license invalid and failure to control speed.
The truck was carrying flammable liquid. The truck sustained minor damage to a hose under the trailer that will be replaced. A mechanic has removed the hose and will be returning with another one shortly.
No one was reported injured in the crash.
The call came in at 4:47 p.m.
