SAN ANGELO, TX — Former Lincoln Middle School teacher Steve Skinner pleaded no contest to sexual assault of a child and was placed on deferred adjudication probation Tuesday.
According to court documents, Skinner, 60, took a plea bargain which places him on six years deferred adjudication probation and requires he surrender his Texas Education Agency teaching certificate.
Skinner is accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl on at least two occasions.
He was facing one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, one count of sexual assault of a child, and one count of indecency with a child by sexual contact. Skinner pleaded no contest to the sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child charges in exchange for dropping the continuous sexual abuse charge which is a first degree felony punishable by 5 to 99 years or life in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
According to court documents, Skinner has a court hearing scheduled for Friday.

Mercy sakes alive.... Taught him a lesson didn't they. So in 6 years, his charge vanishes off his record as if it never happened and he's back in business again......

PermalinkThey put them on probation to only take what money they have and to wait for them to mess up again after the money is gone he will mess up again and end up in jail to just take tax payers money. Either way money wins as usual. Taking his man hood would be a better solution but im just making a suggestion. Or be humane and tie him to a tree and let the mother nature have her go with him. I figure that would be more economical. Just a thought......
